Preamble

You see, usually, when people tell me their love stories, I get all emotional and ‘awww’ ish when listening but when I’m writing it, many times I think deeply and I have tissue around when I’m thinking for …you know…. I don’t know if it’s just me but there’s just something epic about loving a person and being loved in return. It’s just…unbelievable. There’s nothing more that makes me believe there’s a God than love… (Names used today are not their real names) 

Common grounds

To start with, I’m a deep stalker of celebrities, deep stalker, the moment I like your role as a celebrity, I don’t just want to like your role, I want to like you and so I start digging, sometimes I could go on for almost a whole day (yeah, it’s that deep and Chill, this is going somewhere, y do u think I’ll just start telling u about my stalking things? ) and so I thought I was the only one who knew the name of Ellen pompeo’s child and the likes until I met a similar freak, she was reading my previous posts and she seemed interested and so I showed her other people’s blog posts that had to do with marriage proposals and all that mushy stuff and then when her mind had been well positioned , well, me, being me, started asking questions, I already knew that she was in a relationship and so I went all, how did you meet? and bla…and her, being my new stalking partner which makes us like sisters, she started talking (OMG, it’s so cool, I can’t wait for u 2 read d rest of this story!, Love oh love)

…it started with a crush, oh yeah, but not on him though, on someone else, in fact when she first saw him, she did not first ja him face, her whole attention was on the crush (I get u sister!), and so Jo (that’s her name) was hit by Karev (that’s his name) and she was so pissed cos he was a distraction at that point (love doesn’t tell you it’s coming, in fact it ‘disturbs’ you when you’re not looking)…did I mention that they were in the service group in school(I smell the super matchmaker doing dome cupid things), Karev was in his final year while Jo was in her rookie year, any ways they had this dinner where everyone was to attend and then she and her friends took to taking pictures with final year guys they were not familiar with and, yeah, you guessed it!, he was among the guys and he took a ‘magical’ picture with her and asked for her name, well, she still had a crush on the other guy (oh yeah, the crushee was also in the same service group), she told Karev her name cos she was so sure he asked all of them i.e. she and her friends, and she went on with the dinner, he called her again later during the dinner and asked her for her surname and all…and after some time, he convocated then during the summer Jo saw a friend request from my dear Karev and by now she was already liking him small…she accepted it, sent him her BB pin and you know the most annoying thing? For hours she was waiting for him, holding the phone and my broda refused to ping o, not even to say hi just after she added him, later on, he sha said hi and they got talking, she was in the obodo at the time and so once she got back, she invited him over to her house (ehm, it’s worthy of note that she NEVER invites guys to her house o, just saying, I mean, I smell a rat)…anyways they became really close and he asked her out and she said no (WHAT?!!!), she gave the rational excuse of distance (but love is not rational! Urrgh!), Karev was even very pissed asking her why she’s thinking for him and all anyways they sha continued deceiving themselves and were forming ‘friends’ (that thing can pain ehn?), anyways after a long time of ‘that’, Jo, who is a very smart and rational babe as we’ve established called my oga and went on about ‘what is going on here? I want to have a definition, cos we’re basically deceiving ourselves’ and all, and d guy, for the hundredth time, asked her out again cos he had made his intentions known at first, Jo sha said they should give it a try this time (she sure knows how to jinx it all, doesn’t she?), Karev no gree o, He didn’t like the idea of her thinking there was a chance for failure, anyways after all the flabberjabber, she said yes!! and u know the rest…happily ever after!    Might I just add that the person Jo had a crush on is Karev’s friend? That’s how life works fellas…

Lesson for the guys, well, learn from this guy… and lesson for the girls, don’t be so scared all the time, things have a way of sorting themselves out (don’t forget the super match maker’s always interested in shooting some arrows so got to him if you’re confused) and lessons for everyone: love has a way of coming along when you’re looking somewhere else (maybe even at your crush)
